Default Being able to jump.

I looked for a topic to see if anyone had suggested this already, but I couldn't find one. I think jumping ought to be implemented for all classes in the game.

I think it would be fun (for obvious reasons.) I also think it would be useful for things like the "Giant Stomp" monster skill and when wurms pop out of the ground. Also, to make you harder to hit using projectiles etc.

I think it would be a good idea not to make it spammable as well, so that skills likke Earthquake might still be effective and you would still be hit by arrows. I dunno, what do you think?

It has been discussed many, many times. To the same response.

I'll let the other people do the talking.

I think it's too much coding/re-coding of the engine for little effect

GW doesnt even have a Z-axis, you can body block people crossing a bridge by placing your blocks underneath the bridge.
Attack someone on a bridge by standing under him.

Z-axis was not coded for some reason (think there was a link stating why) and probably wont in the near future

GW game engine can´t do jumping in a way that effects the game play, it doesnt even have elevation calculations built in so IF they are ever going to implement this its not here, maybe on GW2 who knows...

OOO yes, and this subject have been discussed 100 times before, i can see this thread getting shut down in a metter of minutes ^^

Latter.

I think it would be an uneccessary aspect of gameplay that would just clutter the game controls.

Jumping in game like in WoW wouldn't fit in GW, and I honestly don't see how it would help if it did.

Maybe a skill where you jump and when you land on the ground it shakes and everyone around you loses health.

Lol. I hope you weren't serious about the /jump emote.

I don't see how it's a stupid idea. You'd be able to jump off bridges and be able to get to places faster. You'd be able to jump over monsters. You could jump to avoid attacks.

I don't see how it would clutter game controls. It would take up one button on a keyboard. That's not what I call cluttering.

I think it would be extremely useful in PvP. Jumping off high places to get away from fights with things like cripple making you not able to jump. I've often found myself on my Warrior, getting spells cast on me from underneath me.

I understand that the z-axis was not coded, but it would be nice if it was.

An attack skill would be cool, but Elementists have Earthquake/Dragon Stomp and Shockwave. Warriors have Earth Shaker. Not sure about any more.

You really didn't look hard enough. I mean, it's in our Index of Forums. That lists this thread which also would have popped up had you searched for "jump." That search would have also yeilded a few other threads that us mods apparently failed to close, like this one, and this one. It's also been suggested in this thread, and this thread.

So I'm going to kill this thread with my nifty forum kung-fu, which is apparently stronger than yours. Or did you not even try?
